Our Team

Peter Greenwood
Rector

Peter grew up on the other side of the bridge, with St Clement’s Mosman being the church of his childhood and youth. In Year 12, on a Crusaders Study camp, he committed his life to trusting and serving Jesus. He married Rachel in 2001 and they have four lovely children (and three French bulldogs).

Peter holds honours degrees in Computer Engineering from the University on New South Wales, and Divinity from Moore Theological College, with a Diploma of Ministry. He has completed his Master of Arts in Theology. Peter worked as a software developer for Telstra, before undertaking a two year apprenticeship in Ministry prior to theological training. After college, he served as the assistant minister of St Philip’s, Caringbah for two years. Since 2007 he was an assistant minister at St Paul’s, Carlingford. For the past ten years Peter has been serving as the Rector of St Mark’s South Hurstville.

He longs for many people from the local community to meet the real Jesus and put their faith and trust in him.

Peter loves playing soccer, watching cricket, reading Sci-Fi and fantasy novels and spending time with his family.

The Two-Ways Ministry Team

We are especially delighted to bring to you our Two-Way Ministry team. Led by Phillip Jensen and comprised of Moore College students, who are in various years of their theological education, they serve us at St. Nic’s in many ways.

Phillip leads the work of Two Ways Ministries, which seeks to serve people by proclaiming the death and resurrection of Jesus through teaching people the Bible; challenging and recruiting Christians into this great work by training a network of evangelistic leaders who apply their Biblical knowledge to their priorities and practice, to live boldly and single-mindedly for Christ. You can learn more about it here.
